Cameron Smith
Cameron Smith made significant strides as an American Flat Track racer in 2017, his third professional season. He progressed from qualifying for just one Main in 2015 to securing a late-season top five in 2016 and earning eight finishes of sixth or better in 2017. Highlighted by three top-four finishes, Smith placed sixth overall in the highly competitive AFT Singles championship.
While he didn’t quite match those results in 2018 or 2019, he continued to show speed, including an impressive fifth-place run at the Minnesota Mile in 2018. It seems only a matter of time before he reaches the American Flat Track podium, especially if he recaptures his 2017 form.
A Pennsylvania native, Smith began racing at six years old. He looks up to AFT SuperTwins pilot Brandon Robinson as a mentor and, like Robinson, is an avid bicyclist.
Progressive AFT is widely recognised as the most prestigious and competitive form of dirt track motorcycle racing in the world. Much has changed over 100 years, but the sport remains perhaps motorsport’s purest test of man and machine.
